(Minghui.org) In China recently, a police vehicle is parked at the entrance of every school, when classes start and end, and a uniformed police officer stands at the door. In the past, of the 26 departments in the State council, 18 are responsible for arranging armed police forces in sectors such as foreign diplomacy, public security, national security, transport, audit bureaus and banks, etc.—all the “important departments.” The education and health sectors don’t have armed police forces. But now, armed police have appeared in universities, primary schools—even kindergartens, and people have noticed.
Some may think having police officers at the entrances ensures the schools’ security. Others may be frightened to see armed policemen standing outside a school. Some people may say: “Nowadays, most village homes have high walls and iron gates. On the surface, it seems people are financially better off, but in reality, it reflects society’s declining moral values. People erect high walls and gates to stop thieves.”
When one looks at an object from close up, they only see part of it or the specifics; however, when one takes a step back one can see the whole picture, including the environment. Along the same reasoning, on the issue of security, if we widen our vision, we can see that in the past, homes were not surrounded by fences. People didn’t feel the need to lock their doors at night and they weren’t worried that their homes would be broken into.
Even if someone is intent on harming children, could two policemen standing outside a school prevent a tragedy? People’s hearts have turned bad, and these days anything can happen.
Countless bad things have happened as a result of declining moral values. In China, infant milk powder was found to contain poisonous melamine, there’s poisonous liquor, tank trucks are used to transport cooking oil, and then there’s the forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). These atrocities are all caused by declining moral values. When superficial measures are used to solve problems, the deeper issues are not addressed. It seems that society no longer has a bottom line, and humanity and the environment are getting worse.
Hitler once said: “It is the government’s blessing if its people don’t think.” The government he referring was to was a dictatorship, like the CCP. After decades of authoritarian rule, Chinese people no longer know how think normally. They don’t see people and things with normal moral standards and this enables the CCP to fabricate lies, take advantage of those who have no power, incite hatred and conflicts among different people, and shift the blame to others.
On the eve of Chinese New Year in 2001, the regime staged the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident, in an effort to incite hatred against Falun Gong. Hundreds of millions of people were practicing Falun Gong in China. If Falun Gong encouraged practitioners to set themselves on fire, why is it that from 2001 to date, 24 years have gone by, yet there hasn’t ever been a second case of “self immolation”? The persecution has gone on for 25 years, but few people have stopped to think about this.
For 25 years, Falun Gong practitioners have used various means, working tirelessly to tell people the facts about the persecution, yet some people still believe the CCP’s lies—they hate Falun Gong. Only those who dare to analyze the facts will see the truth.
The CCP started various political campaigns since it came to power. Chinese people believe whatever the CCP tells them and they don’t dare to, or want to, think. Because they don’t think for themselves, they are condoning the CCP’s violent rule and have thus lost a normal, human environment.
If Chinese citizens were able to freely choose their belief, and live according to Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be better, moral people, would there be so much greed and corruption? Would there be so many fake products? Would there be so many incidents in China of women and children being kidnapped?
During the COVID pandemic, the CCP imposed lockdowns to stop the virus from spreading. This frightened foreign investors and caused many private businesses to close, and ties with foreign countries were damaged. China’s stockmarket fell drastically, the yuan was devalued, and credit was destroyed.
China’s economy plummeted due to the pandemic. People have difficulty finding employment and paying their home loans. Young people are afraid to settle down or have children.
Ordinary People Enabled the CCP
The source of the chaos in China today is the CCP. However, everyone played a role in it.
Why? Before the CCP usurped power, Chinese people followed traditional culture. They believed that good deeds were rewarded, bad deeds were punished, and that divine beings were watching us. People strove to be good, and avoided doing bad deeds. After the CCP came to power and promoted atheism and the theory of evolution, it cut off mankind’s connection to the divine and discouraged people from believing in the heavenly principle that good deeds are rewarded. People were encouraged to do things without regard for the consequences. The CCP’s “Philosophy of power struggle” is a catalyst for evil in human nature and has no bottom limit.
Although ordinary citizens have no choice in their government system, there are many things every Chinese citizen has a say in, and every choice has consequences.
The more people can hold onto kindness, the more individuals, families and society will be able to preserve their foundation and move in a positive direction.
