(Minghui.org) Minghui.org previously reported on the mass arrests of 16 Falun Gong practitioners in Guye District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, between June 9 and 11, 2026.
New information has emerged that three other practitioners, including Ms. Wang Guiling, Mr. Fei Jianhua, and Ms. Geng Caixia, were also arrested during that time period, bringing the total confirmed arrests to 19.
Ms. Geng, Mr. Ma Yingjie, and Ms. Wang Shouhua have been held at the Tangshan City First Detention Center since their arrests. They were issued formal arrest warrants on July 17, 2026.
Ms. Wang Guiling, Ms. Zhang Xiujuan, Ms. Jiang Yufeng, Mr. Jia Hongjiang, Ms. Zhang Shufen, and Mr. Miao Yongli were released on bail at an unknown time. They are currently under “residential surveillance.”
The detention status of Mr. Fei and Ms. Zhao Manru remains unknown.
The police established three cases against above 11 practitioners, with Ms. Geng in one case, Ms. Miao and Ms. Zhang Shufen in a second case, and the remaining eight in a third case.
The cases were submitted to the Guye District Procuratorate on September 17, 2026. Mr. Ma and Ms. Geng’s respective lawyers submitted a request not to indict them afterwards.
The Guye District Procuratorate forwarded the three cases to the Lubei District Protectorate on October 15, 2026. Prosecutor Zhang Linfang was assigned to Mr. Ma’s case, and prosecutor Liu Wei to Ms. Geng’s case. It is unclear which prosecutor was assigned to the other eight practitioners’ joint case.
The Lubei District Procuratorate has until November 15 to make a decision as to whether to indict the 11 practitioners.
