(Minghui.org) Six Falun Gong practitioners in Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested on January 31, 2026, for practicing their faith which has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
The names of four practitioners have been confirmed: Ms. Wu Shiyang; Mr. Yang Shuguang, a 71-year-old retired miner; Ms. Wang Qingrong, 68; and Ms. Yin Shuling. All six practitioners’ homes were ransacked. They are currently on administrative detention at the Qitaihe City Lockup.
The practitioners were reported when they distributed information about Falun Gong. The police monitored them for some time before they arrested them. The Xinxing Police Station created a “Falun Gong Task Force” to handle the case.
Falun Gong Restored Their Health
Mr. Yang, born in July 1954, developed various job-related illnesses, including stomach problems, a slipped disc, cervical spondylosis, and cerebrovascular diseases. He became incapacitated at one point and had to take an extended leave from work from October 1995 to November 1996.
Mr. Yang traveled to Shandong Province for better treatment but nothing helped. He exhausted his savings and was in despair. Someone gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun Falun Gong’s main book. In just one month, all his symptoms disappeared and he was able to resume working at the Taoshan Coalmine.
Ms. Wang, born in June 1957, had to take medications every day to keep her gynecological diseases and nephritis under control. After she took up Falun Gong in December 1996, she made a full recovery in one month. She also became a better person and improved her relationship with her husband.
