(Minghui.org) The San Leandro Cherry Festival Parade was held on June 6, 2026. Falun Dafa practitioners’ exercise demonstration and waist drum teams were praised by spectators. City councilor members thanked practitioners for bringing positive energy to the community and said Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is needed in today’s society.

Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and its principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to the community during the parade, and they were praised by officials and local residents. Some practitioners, dressed in gold clothes, demonstrated the exercises, and the waist drum team performed.
Parade Moderator: What an Impressive Sight!
As the practitioners’ procession passed by the viewing stand, the parade moderator, Angela, exclaimed, “Wow, what an impressive sight! The golden color is so beautiful!”

The moderator introduced Falun Dafa and said it is an ancient cultivation method based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and said practicing can improve people’s physical and mental health. Over 100 million people have benefited from it since it was made public in 1992. The practice is free for everyone to learn and is suitable for all ages.
Angela said, “I have to say, there is a sense of peace and tranquility as they are walking by. Thank you, thank you for coming to the event today, and thank you for everything you’ve done.”
City Councilor Fully Supports Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
City councilor Fred Simon, representing District 4 of San Leandro, praised practitioners for having a positive impact on the community.

“Thank you to the Falun Dafa practitioners for participating in the parade today and demonstrating the exercises,” Councilor Simon said. “It’s a pleasure to have you here. You really make a big difference in our community and bring so much energy and joy to San Leandro.”
Councilor Simon praised Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He said, “I fully support this principle. We all need these values in our lives.”

“Thank you very much for your participation,” Councilor Aguilar said. “I think it’s wonderful to have such a diverse group participating in community events like this. Especially what you presented was excellent. Thank you for coming.”
Councilor Aguilar strongly agreed with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He said, “I believe that each of us should strive to practice these principles. I think this is the quality that every human being should possess.”
Councilor Aguilar thanked practitioners again and said he was very happy to talk with them.
Local Resident: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Very Meaningful
Doug, a local resident, said the practitioners’ spirit left a wonderful impression on him. “I don’t know much about Falun Dafa,” he said. “But I found it very interesting. This was a beautiful presentation. I really liked their costumes and the overall effect. It was really beautiful.”
When he learned that Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice of body and mind and is based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, he said, “These principles touch on the essence of humanity and are very meaningful.”
Speaking about the significance of these values in today’s society, Doug believes they can help people increase understanding and respect, and promote social harmony. He said he agrees with these principles and is very interested in the messages conveyed by Falun Dafa.
Everyone Should Follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

Local residents Eric Bahena and his wife, Espy Bahena, shared their feelings after watching the practitioners’ performance. Eric said practitioners were impressive, “They are really good,” he said.
Eric strongly agrees with Falun Dafa’s principles. “I think this is the way humans should live,” he said. “This is a very good guideline that everyone should follow.”
Many people said the practitioners’ exercise team was especially eye-catching during the parade. Espy said, “They brought hope.”
Eric said he and his wife were interested in learning more about Falun Dafa.
